Storytime
We will have storytime at Saluda Community Library on Wednesday, May 29 at 12:30pm. The theme is SUMMER FUN! After we read stories and sing songs, you’ll make a fun craft and go home with information about our Summer Reading Program! All area preschoolers and caregivers are welcome.

Registration begins Monday, June 3rd.

Exploring Ancient Egypt and Simple Machines!
How did the ancient Egyptians build the pyramids without modern technology? Simple! Or at least the machines were. Join educator T.J. Shimeld as he becomes the Wordsmith of Wonder, Wendal Wandell, to explore ancient Egypt, the five simple machines, and mathematics. Wendal Wandell brings books to life with glorious costumes, magic, puppetry, and hands-on demonstrations to get kids excited about how books can transport us across time and space.

Dig deep into books and explore the value of becoming a real-life bookworm… We’ll magically dig for treasure with pirates, excel at reading with some spells straight out of Hogwarts, and marvel as our resident bookworm performs a death defying stunt! The Really Big Bookworm Dig features magic, balloon art, comedy, and audience interaction.

Big Bang Boom!
Everyone will dig this rockin’ three-piece power pop band, which consists of talented artists and long-time musicians Chuck Folds, Steve Willard, and Eddie Walker. This group doesn’t play just any ole average music. These dynamic dads play parent-friendly children’s music!!! They write songs with a pop sensibility by cleverly mixing alternative, hip-hop, pop, country, and other genres to create music that parents AND children can enjoy!
