Mission Statement

The mission of the Polk County Public Library is to provide all residents of Polk County with educational, informational, cultural and recreational resources.

We seek:

• To provide opportunity, encouragement and assistance for all residents.
• To lead the way to a diversity of information and technology for personal growth and development.
• To meet the needs and interests of a multicultural community of all ages.
• To develop and provide inviting facilities and a welcoming environment.
• To respond to the need for lifelong learning and general information among the citizens of Polk County.
